On weekends and weekdays between 18:00 and 07:59, travel claim calls are available only in English or Russian.
If your luggage is damaged, it is important to obtain a certificate from the airport confirming the damage. Be sure to take photos of the damaged luggage – take photos of the damage as well as all sides of the luggage. In addition, a document certifying the cost of the luggage, information on the manufacturer of the luggage and the dimensions of the luggage are required. If we decide to pay insurance indemnity for damaged luggage in the amount of the actual value of the luggage immediately before the insured event, we may ask that you hand over the damaged luggage to us.
Your claim can be registered easily in the e-office of BTA, where you can upload the necessary documents. If you do not have the opportunity to register a claim with BTA e-office, send a completed application and the abovementioned documents to kahjud@bta.ee. If you register a claim in the e-office, filling out an application is not necessary.
If your luggage is stolen, be sure to record the incident with the police and do not forget to obtain evidence of the incident from the police. In addition, documents proving the cost of stolen items are required (purchase receipts, invoices, bank statements, etc.).

If your luggage is lost, it is important to obtain a certificate from the airport or airline confirming the loss of the luggage. In addition, documents proving the cost of lost items are required (purchase receipts, invoices, bank statements, etc.). However, we emphasise that the airport has 21 days to search for luggage. BTA cannot begin dealing with the case before expiration of the specified time. Be sure to contact the airport to record the incident. If 21 days have passed since the loss of the luggage, the airline will issue a report on not finding the luggage.

If you are unable to travel, be sure to see a doctor to record your illness. Medical documents stating the diagnosis, the course of the disease and the duration of the disease (for example, an extract from the Patient Portal) are definitely necessary for processing. You must also provide us with your travel company/accommodation agreement, documents confirming payment for the trip (invoices, payment orders, checks), confirmation from the tour operator/accommodation of the refund or non-refund and flight tickets.

If you become ill while traveling, be sure to call BTA Insurance so that we can refer you to the nearest partner hospital. If it was not our partner that provide assistance, please provide us with medical documents certified by the stamp and signature of the doctor who served you and stating the exact diagnosis. In addition, send us invoices for medical care and medication purchase receipts.

If your flight is delayed, it is important to obtain a certificate from the airport confirming the delay or cancellation of the flight and stating the reason for the delay or cancellation. In addition, please provide us with copies of your flight tickets (used, unused and new), proof of expenses and confirmation from the airline of the refund or non-refund.
